Burnout Paradise Gets Bikes Next Week

Free "Davis" update arriving Thursday also adds dynamic weather and time of day.

We've been looking forward to the addition of motorcycles to Burnout Paradise from the moment we first heard the idea. Criterion kept us waiting a little bit past the originally intended August timeframe for the release, but today they've announced that it's ready, and coming next week! The free update -- codenamed "Davis" -- will be available Thursday, September 18. Once you've grabbed the update, just head to the nearest Junkyard and the two bikes will be there waiting for you to chose from.

Along with the two new motorcycles this new update brings a whole new look to Paradise City with the addition of both a day-night cycle and dynamic weather. To get you into the swing of things with the bikes they've also cooked up 38 race-against-the-clock events like Burning Ride and Midnight Ride, and 70 more Freeburn Challenges. Of course, we won't blame you if you spend your first night just pulling wheelies and tearing through the streets in the middle of the night. The team also spills some more details on the bikes in the latest episode of their video podcast Crash TV which you can check out on iTunes.

Oh, and they wrap up this latest post with one more tease: info on Trophies for the PS3 version coming next week.
